Give Back with MLK Weekend Brunch at Home

January 19, 2021 Update
Thanks to everyone who ordered Brunch at Home this past MLK Weekend! We raised over $1,600 for our local partners, which translates into direct donations to help feed our neighbors:

  • In the District, we are using the $254 raised to provide additional meals, PPE, and toilet paper to our community partners in Wards 7 & 8.
  • In Maryland’s Montgomery County, we will be using the $481 raised for a direct donation to Manna Food Center for their most needed foods list.
  • In Northern Virginia, we are working with our wholesaler partner – Keany Produce – to deliver $616 worth of fresh fruits and vegetables next week to the Cornerstones Assistance Services and Pantry Program.
  • In Pennsylvania’s King of Prussia, we are donating $251 worth of most needed goods to the Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard.

When you order Brunch at Home from any of our restaurants over MLK Weekend – for Saturday, Sunday & Monday – we are giving 10% of the proceeds back to our communities.

Your Brunch at Home purchase feeds our neighbors in need through our existing partnerships with non-profits in each of our regions.

Washington, DC
When you order from any of our restaurants in the District (Founding Farmers DC, as well as our sibling restaurants, Farmers Fishers Bakers and Farmers & Distillers), we are working with our partners in Wards 7&8 to bring needed food to area families. Every Brunch for 2 ordered helps us feed a family of 4. Over the past year, we have provided over 13,000 meals to our DC neighbors, as well as helping to serve all of our communities.

Montgomery County, MD
When you order from Founding Farmers in Potomac, we are donating to Manna Food Center. They have supported over 50,000 residents, distributing over 3.3 million pounds of food.

Northern Virginia
When you order from either of our Northern Virginia restaurants (Founding Farmers Reston Station and Founding Farmers Tysons), we are providing fresh fruits and vegetables to Cornerstones Assistance Services and Pantry Program. As the largest food pantry in northwest Fairfax County, Cornerstones is open to the public 37 hours per week and one Saturday morning a month. In 2019, Cornerstones served almost 16,000 individuals, including 2,576 families and 5,373 children experiencing homelessness, poverty, and inequity in Northern Virginia.

King of Prussia, PA

When you order from Founding Farmers King of Prussia, we are donating food to the Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard, working with more than 110 families with children in district schools who have been identified by Upper Merion Area School District personnel as food insufficient.

We appreciate your support in helping to feed our neighbors and honor Martin Luther King, Jr. and Martin Luther King Day. Every day across our company, we are committed to serving our communities through our existing partnerships and, as we can, with new efforts.

If you would prefer to join us in our restaurant, we are also serving our brunch on Saturday, Sunday & Monday (a la carte and our adapted buffet brunch, depending on location). For current information on where we are serving a la carte or our adapted Farmers Market Buffet Brunch, see our location pages or our FAQs. We recommend making a reservation.
