Is Happiness Really Bacon-Shaped?
We think so. Especially when the bacon is bursting with smoky flavors and comes from a family-owned and operated farm. Since 2019, our Applewood Smoked Bacon has been sourced from Cloverdale Foods in Mandan, North Dakota. Cloverdale Foods perfectly aligns with the Founding Farmers mission to support family-owned and operated farms who practice responsible farming methods. They have been an American run family farm for over 100 years, and are known for their “Big Country Flavors,” that many of our guests have grown to love and appreciate.
Our sweet and savory bacon travels from Mandan on our two 18-wheelers operated by the North Dakota Farmers Union, all the way to our restaurants in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington D.C., so that our customers can enjoy the highest quality bacon there is. Delicious on its own as a breakfast side – or in some of our most popular burgers like the Avocado Bacon Burger and the Blue Cheese Balsamic Bacon Burger – our crispy bacon is sure to impress with its big smoky flavors and subtle hints of apple. Our beloved Applewood Smoked Bacon is also gluten free with no added MSG. It can be found in a wide range of our menu items besides burgers, like our BLT with Roasted Turkey & Avocado and our popular Glazed Bacon Lollis appetizer.
Founding Farmers has always made it our primary mission to unbundle the industrial food supply chain. We are proud to support family farmers like Cloverdale Foods so that when you dine in our restaurants, you’re getting the highest quality ingredients: directly from American family-owned farms to your table. Visit one of our locations to try our delicious bacon for yourself and support our mission of sustainability, naturally sourced ingredients and scratch-made food.
Winter Dishes & Cocktail Pairings with our Head Distiller
