On Saturday, Founding Farmers joined Maryland beer lovers and makers at REVIVE! A celebration of Maryland’s award-winning beer and cuisine. Hosted by the Brewers Association of Maryland, guests enjoyed an evening of craft beer and tasty food, while dancing to the bluegrass melodies of The Plate Scrapers.

Whether it’s the simple sweetness of their honey or the complex ecological underpinnings that support the diversity of harvests worldwide, we are grateful for the bounty we get from honey bees. 

August can be a rough month for DC locals. It’s usually unbearably hot and humid, and many of our friends and family have managed to skip town. One great way to beat the heat and enjoy our great city this month?

Our Pennsylvania Founding Farmers in King of Prussia won Best Brunch from Philadelphia’s Main Line Today magazine. An annual reader’s pick award, we are delighted to be a neighborhood favorite, especially since we are the new kids on the block.

Founding Farmers Reston Station has landed in an innovative neighborhood with vision. And this summer, the plans at Reston Station Metro Plaza are plentiful. As a center point for commuting, shopping, and gathering for local Northern Virginia natives, Reston Station offers a spacious landscape with a wide variety of activities.

Our Founding Farmers in King of Prussia joined the greater Philadelphia community last night to raise money for the Elmwood Park Zoo. The zoo’s single largest fundraiser, the 10th Annual Beast of a Feast, raised over $100,000 for educational programing and community engagement.

Asparagus is cool. We recently had the chance to tour Godfrey’s Farm, where we are currently getting our asparagus for MoCo’s Founding Farmers. Looking across the field, it is hard to even see that there is something amazing and delicious growing there.

Founding Farmers Reston Station joined our newest neighbors over the weekend for what Virginia Living magazine voted, “Northern Virginia’s Best Food Festival.” For two beautiful, sunny days at the Reston Town Center, team members debuted our latest restaurant at Taste of Reston.

Founding Farmers joined the gathering of DC foodies last night at the RAMMYS Awards Gala held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Our team was on hand to mix up some of the city’s favorite cocktails, including our Cucumber Delight featuring our award-winning craft vodka, and celebrate our industry friends.

Founding Farmers, its sibling restaurants Farmers & Distillers and Farmers Fishers Bakers, and parent company Farmers Restaurant Group, just launched a campaign to eliminate single-use plastic straws across the DMV. Our Last Straw is building a coalition of restaurants, bars, cafes, and hotels working on a shared mission to eliminate plastic drinking straws due to their impact on our environment and our health.
