Architecture DC featured an article celebrating Founding Farmers Fishers & Bakers and Grizform Design Architects, the architecture firm behind the redesign of our restaurant. Where some environmentally-conscious restaurants might have to sacrifice esthetic design for sustainability, Founding Farmers Fishers & Bakers was able to retain our farmhouse style, yet keeping the environment and environmentally-sound best practices in the forefront of their overall design.

Griz Dwight, president and founder of Grizform Design Architects is a go-to architect for many restaurateurs in the Washington, DC area. Griz Dwight was the mastermind behind Founding Farmers Fishers & Bakers redesign in 2012.
Sunflowers are Back
It is a great season to visit Founding Farmers Tysons. Our sunflowers are back and in-house through September. We love welcoming guests to our Tysons restaurant with our bounty of sunflowers. Each year, we harvest these beauties with our friends and sustainable partners at Sweet Virginia, a non-profit working to educate children about the wonder of honey bees and their importance in pollinating and maintaining food diversity for every living creature on the planet.
Join Us For Restaurant Week
Savor summer with Restaurant Week at three of our DMV area Founding Farmers restaurants. From August 12th through August 18th, our Founding Farmers Reston Station and Founding Farmers Tysons teams will be welcoming guests to our Northern Virginia restaurants for the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington’s (RAMW) Restaurant Week Summer 2019. Our MoCo’s Founding Farmers will be not only participating in the DC area RAMW Restaurant Week event, but our Potomac, MD restaurant will get started a few days early – August 9th – by joining in Bethesda Magazine’s Restaurant Week Summer 2019, which also runs through August 18.
Help us Celebrate Negroni Week & Give Back to a Great Cause
What is Negroni Week? In 2013, Imbibe Magazine and Campari launched Negroni Week as a celebration of the classic Italian Negroni cocktail and a way to raise money for charity. Since then, Negroni Week has grown from approximately 120 industry participants to almost 10,000 partners worldwide, and Founding Farmers is proud to participate in DC’s Negroni Week once again.
A Big Win for MoCo’s Founding Farmers
Last night, Co-Owner Dan Simons and our team were thrilled to accept the Maryland Green Registry’s Leadership Award for MoCo’s Founding Farmers from Maryland Secretary of the Environment, Ben Grumbles, and the Maryland Department of the Environment.
